Outlook rules should include outlook express rules in full.

I would like the rule 'Do not download it from server' added to the outlook
rules list or an option to create my own rules.
I am going back to outlook express as I have a number of seperate users
using this PC who want private e-mails.
This is possible with outlook express but not with outlook 2003 unless you
can show me otherwise.

Outlook profiles does not solve the problem.

The problem is that outlook downloads the messages from the e-mail server
then processes the messages, but it informs the first person who logs on to
to the PC that day of all the messages available including the ones that are
not for them.
With Outlook express you can select the messages that are downloaded to a PC
user account based on the e-mail address using the comand 'Do not download it
from server' and then specify the to 'to' rules.
This function is not available within outlook or is difficult to implement
without the use of scripts, of which I am a novice.
When one PC and single broadband connection that is used for a number of
users with individual e-mail addresses on the same e-mail server, it can
cause a problem with privacy.

I do not understand why they have made such a backward step or do Microsoft
expect me to purchase machines and seperate broadband accounts for my family?

You should have separate additional mail accounts available on the ISP
mail server. Please contact your ISP for instructions on setting them up.

Then you havent set up OL correctly, or the individual email addresses are a
catchall account and not individual accounts.
If each email address doesnt have a seperate password ie they all use the
same password, this means it is a catchall account.
