Outlook Rules Wizard

I can't seem to find the syntax rules for Rules Wizard
(Outlook 98), e.g. is it case sensitive? can I use the *
wildcard? I'm using it to block junkmail and given the
volume, would like to streamline the entries. Thanks for
any suggestions.
