Outlook Security Guard popup

Can anyone offer a soluton to the Outlook Security Guard popup? I need to
use MS Access to do automatic mailings and cannot be tied up with this.

Also, does anyone beside me think this is obsurd that Microsoft hasn't
figured out a way to allow its own programs to bypass this feature?

God Bless,

Hello Megan,

The article seems to deal with attachments. My problem is sending emails out
though Access and having to deal with the warning that a program is
attempting to send an email. Then I need to wait and click the Yes button.

you'll probably want clickyes (linked at the urls she posted) or rewrite the
access app to use a different SMTP.

Hello Diane,

I didn't see the links for Clickyes and wasn't able to find a site to
download it.

Do you have samples on how to email through an SMTP server? I don't have
any experience in this area.

Thanks

Mark A. Sam

Hello Megan,

That won't work for me becuase I am not using Exchange Server, but retrieve
my email from the remoted servers where my domain names point.

"At this time, to enable custom security settings, your clients must be
using Outlook with Microsoft Exchange Server and have either the Mailbox
(MDB) or Offline folders (OST) as the default e-mail delivery location. You
cannot modify the settings if a client is using a local PST file for a
mailbox, or if your organization is using Outlook with a third-party e-mail
service. "

Thank you for the suggestion, however. Someday Microsoft will figure things
out and I won't have to depend on 3rd party utilities to overcome their
deficiencies. ;)

God Bless,

Mark

Check with the access newsgroups or Google for websites that are dedicated
to access. The access experts have code specifically for access that
bypasses Outlook.

message There are several ways to work around this. I have accomplished this
by
using an Outlook custom form published to a public folder.

Hi,

does this work for Outlook 2003 also??? The Problem with ClickYes and
similar tools is, that they don´t work anymore when the workstation is
locked or the scrensaver is active...

If you use Exchange server, it will work with any version of Outlook. It's
the recommended method for Exchange server users.
