Outlook - select names from a distribution list to send an email

D

Dr Pat

It should be possible to go into a distribution list and randomly select the
contacts you want to email by holding down the control key, followed by a
"send message to selected contacts" command. I think this was available in a
previous version of outlook a number of years ago. I am currently using
Outlook 2003 with all available updates.

The current suggested way to perform this task involves selecting the list
and then expanding the list and then individually deleting unwanted names
from the list as again the control key for multiple selection doesn't work.
This can be extremely cumbersome when using large distribution lists where a
small portion is to be emailed.
