When trying to send or receive, I frequently get the
folowing message:
Task pop.(name).com - send and receive reported error
(0X800CCC0D): Unable to find the e-mail server.
Verify info. in account properties.

I have checked the properties and everything is right, and
as I stated, it doesn't happen all the time. I've
rebooted by computer, rebooted the server, and still will
have this problem.
Our PC guru says it's a Microsoft glitch.

HELP!!! - I'm missing, and unable to send or reply to
important messages that affect my work schedule.

If you have a "PC guru", I assume you're in a corporate environment? If so,
what's probably happening is that some of the routers or proxy servers in
your company are blocking the POP3 port (110). The sporadic nature of your
problem comes from the fact that periodically your computer will use a
different router/proxy server - so you'll periodically hit one that is
blocking the POP3 port.
