Outlook: Sending Shortcuts to files

In my previous version of outlook I could send a shortcut to a file located
on a comon drive to co-workers. I can only do that with hyperlinks now. Is
there a way to send a short cut in Outlook 2003

outlook blocks over 40 types of files . .lnk is one you can fix this in the
registry check the web siter reblocked extensions
