Outlook "sent items" empties when Outlook is closed

New items placed by Outlook in the "Sent Items" folder are not there when
Outlook is restarted. Also Outlook sends me a copy of the messages that I
send in the "inbox" folder (it appers just after I hit "send"). Windows XP,
Office 2007 with Outlook Connector.
