I would like to create timelines for short-term personnel in my office. The
timeline templates that exist on the Microsoft template website only allows
me to approximate dates. Microsoft Outlook, because it has a calendar, could
have a separate timeline feature that could be viewed all at once. Another
option for Outlook would be to have a 12-month view in addition to the 1-day,
5-day, 1-week, and 1-month views currently available. The only drawback to
managing timelines in the calendar this way is that the user is forced to
view all appointments at once, so a timeline creator would allow views for
specific projects, or anything else the user wishes to track.
