Outlook should simplify address changes by offering Plaxo-like ad.

It would be great for Microsoft to include the Plaxo features into Outlook
automatically. If a friend changes her address, instead of Plaxo letting me
know about it, I wish Outlook would organize it so that I'm not having to
weigh Outlook down with another add-on. I would love to see this ask for
birthdays as well.

At the "Save and Close" of your personal card, a window could/should pop-up
that asks, "Would you like to update your contacts at this time?" This could
even be a feature that could be an add-on. MS Outlook users could elect to
be a part of the "Outlook Up-to-date Network." And then that pop-up could
read, "Would you like to update your "Up-to-date" friends?

By existing profile, are you referring to my card or others? I assume you
mean others. Plaxo by default offers automatic updating where it erases
whatever is in your address book and replaces it with whatever your
contact/friend says. I chose to review each add-on as it happens. That way,
when my friend decides she is the only "Erica" there is, I can choose to keep
her name listed as Erica Smith. And me updating and editing her fields and
notes section (notes not being visible to her) have no effect on anything but
my personal card.
