Outlook shows no printer name in print dialog

I have just removed and reinstalled all printers on my Windows XP
computer as part of a move to a new server. The procedure I used was to
delete each printer using
rundll32 printui.dll, PrintUIEntry /gd /n \\<server>\<printer>

and then reinstall each printer using
rundll32 printui.dll, PrintUIEntry /ga /n \\<server>\<printer>

I removed all of the old printers before installing new ones, but I did
have one other network printer (connected to a PC) and the Acrobat PDF
Writer and Distiller printers installed throughout the procedure.

Now, when I open the print dialog in Outlook, the printer name is blank
and will not retain the selection even within a single Outlook session.
Also, on occasion Outlook hangs when I scroll over the Print icon on the
toolbar.

I expect this is also affecting 36 other PCs in our office, so there is
some urgency in correcting this.

Thank you in advance for any help,
