Outlook Shutdown Unexpectedly

C

Cary

I am using office xp on windows xp pro. Quite
frequently, when I open my Outlook it either hangs-up or
opens then abrubtly shuts down. Usually, it pops up a
box telling me there was a problem (no specific
description or error code) and has a check box to
automatically restart. It then gives me the option to re-
start in safe mode.

All Outlook funtions appear to work properly when it
finally does open, but it probably shuts down 2-3 per day.

I have tried the repair and have re-installed Outlook.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Locate your outcmd.dat file and rename it to outcmd.old. When you start
Outlook all the toolbars will be resetet.

The default location for this file is;

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Hope this helps!
