Outlook Signature

Outlook 2003. When I send an email with a signature the email shows there is
an attachment with the email. The siginature displays properly in the email.
If I don't use a signature no attachment shows up.

You can't open or save the attachment if you click on the paperclip.

The email attachment paper clip shows up when sent to a user with Outlook,
it does not show up when sent to a yahoo email account.

I turned of "Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages," and the attachment
still shows.

What am I missing?

Do you have an image embedded in the signature? If so, what you see is
normal.

It is only a signature, no image, that is what doesn't make sense to me.
There is a web address in the signature, but othwise just a several line
signature.
