Outlook signatures not working - fonts changing after hitting send

We have been trying to change all of our e-mail addresses to an italized font
per our company's request. We are using Outlook 2003 SP2, IE7 with Word
selected as the HTML editor. Mail format tab is set to edit in Word, compose
in HTML. Mail, Format, Font is set to Verdana 10 for all choices, always use
my fonts is checked for stationery, although we are not using stationery.

Using Advanced Editor, we edited our signatures to be italicized. Now, each
time we send a new e-mail, the font changes to something different AFTER we
have sent it. Before we send, it looks fine. The hyperlink to our website
will switch back and forth from regular to italics, the same thing happens to
our e-mail hyperlink.

How can we get our signatures to send the same way we have set them up? It
seems like no matter what the screen looks like when you edit them, something
different appears when you send the message. On some computers, it is even
different when you are typing the message.

I have tried everything I know to resolve this, can someone please help,
Thank you.
