Outlook slow to launch

I have been using Outlook 2002 for the past 18 months. This problem started
yesterday while I tried to install a TV card in my computer and I'm stuck.

In the past, when I click on Outlook it would open within about 2 seconds.
It now takes 2 minutes (not an exageration - I timed it). The folder list
comes up an the graphic showing that Outlook is licenced to me, and then it
hangs for 2 solid minutes.

The hard drive is not being accessed and I cannot see any cpu activity at
all. What's more, the computer is not frozen and other programs can be
accessed and used while Outlook hangs.

Any ideas?

Try deleting the outcmd.dat file in %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook and turning
off IM integration in Outlook at the bottom of Tools>Options>Other.
