Outlook Taskbar items

C

Carlena

I hope I can adequately describe this issue. Outlook appears on my Taskbar
when opened. If there are multiple items open, the Outlook button shows (for
example) "2 Microsoft Office Outlook". If I have opened an email message in
Outlook and then closed it, sometimes the item will remain in the Taskbar
"count" of 2 and, if I click the Outlook button on the taskbar and try to
"close" that item by right clicking it, nothing happens and the item remains
in the taskbar, even though it IS closed. I cannot get rid of that item in
the Taskbar.

Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Are you perhaps using multiple monitors with a Matrox video card? Upgrade
the video card drivers and try again.

Other common causes are addins. Disable them and try again.
