Outlook thru SecuRemote VPN

Remote user keeps showing disconnected from Exchange
Server, even though he can browse other network resources
thru VPN. Connection was working fine last night, then he
wanted offline access to his email, and everything went to
hell in a handbasket after that. We've disabled offline
folders, exited and logged off, rebooted, etc. but still
showing disconnected. My cable internet access is down, so
I can't replicate his condition from home. HELP!!!!
