Outlook to Outlook Express

Hello: I use Outlook as my mail client on my current
computer. I just bought a new computer and I want to use
Outlook Express as my mail client. How can I copy my
current Outlook mail folder to my new computer and see all
my past e-mail and add any new mail to this file.
Thanks in advance for any help!

You'd need to have Outlook on the other computer in order to do that. OE
can't read a PST file.

Set up OE on the existing computer and import from Outlook - then copy the
OE data folder to the new computer. You'll probably get more help if you
post in an OE group such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE6 or see

You will need to install Outlook on the new computer and open the
outlook.pst file in Outlook first before you can export/import for Outlook
Express.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, James asked:
