OUTLOOK TODAY STYLES

I have installed Outlook 2003 and the Styles are not "saving" when I try to
change from style to style. I choose the one that I want and then press
"Save". The style applies correctly the first time, but if I go into another
folder, inbox for instance, and then go back into Outlook Today, the style is
gone and I have little boxes on the screen that look like they should be
holding "yes or no check boxes". Weird. Can anyone help me with this?
