Hi. I have microsoft outlook xp on my computer but it is unable to open. When
i try to open it, it has this error message

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or
item. Internal MAPI error: The information store service provider could not
be added to the active MAPI profile. Contact your adminstrator.

I have tried reinstalling and repairing using the disc but it doesnt work.
Hope someone can help me out here

Thanks!

Hi

After changing the profile, a new error message comes up
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or
item. The information store could not be opened.

I would appreciate your help again.

Thanks!

What type of account have you defined?

This occurs when you're trying to connect to a Microsoft Exchange server and
it is not available.

What kind of account did you set up in Outlook? If you don't have IT staff
to consult, then it's not likely you should be setting up a Microsoft
Exchange mail account. If you're trying to connect to a personal email
account (such as one provided by your ISP) then you should have selected
POP3 or IMAP (depending on what they provide).
