Outlook using 36MB of memory???

My computer seems quite sluggish this morning, and when I
checked the task manager it says that Outlook is using
more than 35,990 KB of memory.

What's happening??

Tehe, mine is taking up 118MB at the moment :-D

It really depends on what version of Outlook you are running, the account
type(s) being used, the size of your mailbox and installed add-ins.

Outlook 2000 on a 2000 Pro machine, pst file about 800 MB,
no add-ins. Generally uses about 7-10 MB and now I'm
getting the dreaded "Virtual Memory is Low" message, which
is why I checked to see memory usage.

Could be some type of corruption. Try one of the following;
-disable virusscanner integration if still enabled
-run scanpst.exe
-reset the Toolbar by renaming outcmd.dat to outcmd.old
