Outlook will not connect to exchange server

Derrick

I have a windows 2000 machine that crashed after
installing service pack 4. The only solution I had was to
reinstall windows 2000 on the machine. I did this without
reformating the hard drive. After the reinstalling the
operating system I have not been able to connect my
outlook to the exchange server. I was running office 2000
on this machine. I tried the upgrade to office XP
thinking that may resolve the issue but it did not. I can
ping the exchange server and I can also log into the
domain from this computer. I just cannot get outlook to
connect to exchange. I am not sure if anyone can help me
but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Derrick

Have you tried recreating the profile? For this go to
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles-> Add...

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response. Yes I have tried this. I have
also tried using a different domain login to see if it was
an issue with rights that may have changed. I receive the
same problems regardless of the login credentials.

It says the exchange server is unavailable. This is not
true. Every other machine on the network is connection
fine with exchange.

The error I am receiving is not an incorrect login. It
says the exchange server is unavailable.

Thanks for your help
