Outlook will only allow me to export from the archive folder

I am using outlook 2003 and when I try to export my contacts to a csv, the
wizard is only bringing up my archive folder. The contacts folder is no
where to be found. Can someone help me out?

Where do you actually keep your contacts?

The default location for outlook.
I didn't change anything.
