I have a customer with a problem with Outlook 2003, she is trying to
attach an email to an enquiry sheet in an Access 97 Database but she
keeps getting error message: "messaging interface had returned an
unknown error, if the problem persits, restart Outlook".
She can send it from her own mailbox, but not from the team mailbox or
her archive pst folders.
There is nothing wrong with the database as her colleagues can access
it, and attach e-mails ok, from either their own mailbox, the team
mailbox or their archive pst's.
She has a roaming profile and the problem follows her around. So I know
it is not PC based. She has been given a brand new roaming profile, so
i can only presume it is something the the registry under the user SID.
This is the only thing that hasn't been changed. I have checked all of
the Outlook Security Settings and Certificates are there. I have now
hit a brick wall and don't know where to go with it.
