Outlook wont follow mailto: links

Whenever I try to click a mail hyperlink on a web site, my Outlook jumps
up with

Microsoft Outlook
---------------------------
The object could not be found.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------


Any ideas how I can resolve this. Im having to copy and paste the email
address across.

I have no third party tools. I am running Outlook 2002
