Hi
I have had this issue for several months now and I am out of ideas. Hope
you can help.
We have a central site running Exchange 5.5 (SP4) on NT4 connected to 100
branches via a Frame Relay WAN (64K and 128K links). The server has AV
software (Groupshield).
Clients at the branches (running Outlook 2000) share generic accounts.
These clients (at all branches including the head office) intermittently
cannot maximize Outlook. When they try nothing happens and they have to
shut the application with Task Manager. It works fine once they restart
Outlook.
I have tried everything, updating store.exe (on Microsoft's recommendation),
had the WAN checked, tried hosts files, increased RAM on the server. The
problem still persists and we cannot replicate it.
If I run a Sniffer when a client has locked it shows no data transfer
between it and the server at all.
My next thought is public folders. Every client has these folders showing
meeting room availability etc.
Regards
