outlook won't open word docs

All of a sudden I can't open attached word docs. A file I was reading, now I
can't open. Says "cannot create file *.doc. Right click the folder you want
to create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to
check yoru permissions for the folder. I did that and I have all
permissions. I'm just trying to open the doc, not saving it. I have never
had this issue and I open attached word docs all the time.
