Outlook won't remeber password

I am using Office XP for Student and Teachers. I cannot get
Oulook to remember the password to log on to my ISP's
server. I have gone into accounts and typed in the password
and placed a check mark in the box to "Remember password".
I purchased my software at retail. Can someone please help
me solve this issue?
