Outlook won't send Dist. Lists - no domain

Outlook won't send to distribution lists. It tries to
send the email with the list name as the address. The
mail server replies that it can't send with no domain
because "_brokers" is not a vaild email address.

How do I get Outlook to use the addresses in the list and
no the list name?
