Outlook won't send messages

I'm getting the same problem with outlook. My messages are stacking up in my
outbox folder but are not going out. There is no error message to relay. If I
open my outbox and highlight the emails then click on the send/receive button
It looks like
my emails are being sent. But I never had to do that in the past. Is there a
way that
I can change the configuration to fix it?

Alan,

I am experiencing the exact same problem - have you found a solution yet?

One cause of stuck emails is reading an email which is waiting in the
Outbox. Specifically, if you double click an email which is waiting in the
Outbox, perhaps to check it, and then close the window in the normal way, it
then won't send.

When this happens, the solution is to open each mail, and instead of
clicking the red 'X' to close the window, click 'Send' instead.

Then, at the next send/receive, the mails will go.

This had me puzzled for quite a while, and in my view it must count as a
bug. Sorry if this isn't the cause of your problems.

Peter, My computer is on a network so scanning is done automatically. But
email scanning has been happening since I was hired 2 yrs. ago and the
problem just now started. However, today Outlook is behaving properly. Thanks
for your input.
