Outlook won't work

Cedric

Hi,

I bought an Office Pro OEM with Publisher and installed
it. Before that I removed my office 2003 completely. When
I tried to open my Outlook I got the error:

"Unable to open your default email folders. Could not open
the item. Try again."

Help please.

You don't state the version of Office Pro you bought (and since it's an OEM
version, I don't think you can legally install it, since OEM versions are
meant to be installed only on the PC with which they come bundled) my guess
is that you're mail profile is pointing to an Outlook 2003-style PST. Now
that OL 2003 is gone and you've installed an earlier verson of Outlook, it
can't read the PST.

Obviously this is a guess because you left out the version of Office you
bought. Robert's suggestion may be accurate in this case.
