Outlook / Word as editor

Outlook is giving an error message - "Your Outlook and
Word version do not match. You'll need to update your
Outlook to the same version as Word."

I did download "something" the other day from MS site on
Outlook, now the error???

I need Word as my editor in Outlook, any ideas.
