Outlook XP Auto Fill for the TO: Line

Gerry

My son-in-law has been using Outlook Express, but would like to switch to
Outlook. He has imported his OE .wab file into the Outlook Contacts list,
but in Outlook when he enters the first few letters of a person to whom he
is sending an e-mail, the line is not automatically filled in as it is in
OE. On my system, Outlook does this all the time; in fact, I just enter the
first letter or two of a person's name and automatically there is a list of
probable addressees to select from.

Is there a setting in Outlook that he can use to cause Outlook to enter a
full e-mail address after typing in just a few letters of the name? I've
looked, but I can't find one.

Autocompletion uses a cache created as he sends messages, not the address
book.

Thanks, Russ.
