Outlook xp little envelope

Hi, I am running Outlook XP. Recently, the little envelope that indicates a
new message does not appear anymore when i receive a new message. Nothing has
changed in my network either.
Any ideas how to get it back?

Are you sure it's still enabled in Windows XP's notification customizations?
