outlook xp problem with send/receive

I installed my office xp after the trial edition of
office 2003 expired on my new computer and now my outlook
program can't send/recieve. I press the button and a
message pops up "The operation failed". Could anyone tell
me what I can do?

lol i discovered all i had to do was reactivate this

version of office. thanks for the help! X)
