Outlook (xp Professional 2002) won't start after re-intstall!

I had to reinstall Office Prof XP on my computer. After doing so, Outlook
will not run properly.

Some messages that I get are:
"cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or
item. Could not open item. Try again."

"unable to open your default e-mail folders. Could not open the item. Try
again"

When I try to open the 'default' profile I get to a bare bones version of
Outlook, that won't allow me to select "options" from the tools menu or even
get close to getting into my contacts or calendar.

I've tried Repairing and re-installing. Can someone please help?
