Hello,
I've seen this question posted here, but as of yet have not seen an answer.
The problem is when opening Outlook XP (sometimes, on various PC's, all XP
sp1 and 2) and error is generated that states '...the pst was closed
improperly and must be checked for errors...'
I've run ScanPST. No good. I've patched Office to the most current updates.
No good. I've updated some PC's to XPsp2 and all relevant updates. Good for a
few weeks, then no good again.
The only common denominator with the users having the errors is that all of
their pst's are over 1 gig (with 1.6 gig being the max).
I've had them clean, compress and archive, but still the error occurs.
I'm coming to the conclusion that this is a BUG in Outlook XP and will not
be remedied until we upgrade to Outlook 2003 (which we are not ready to do).
Anyone from Microsoft care to respond??
