Outlook XP - Shared folders

I'm adding a box to our lan and I've installed Office XP, specifically
for OUTLOOK. Now, I have had this lan setup for some time, using
shared folders between a few Outlook 2000 boxes supplied by a server
using NON-EXHANGE mail server. It appears now, that Outlook XP can
not share folders if I am not using Exchange, is this true?

Net folders are not longer supported. For other solutions see
