Outlook + XP + Strikethrough when deleting an email

In Outlook/XP, when deleting an email, the mail does not move to the
Deleted Items folder. Instead, the message simply gets a
strikethrough. I'd like it to move to the Deleted Items folder but
simply can't find any options or help to do so.

This is normal behavior for an IMAP folder and cannot be changed.
