Outlook XP with Shaw Cable email

I am trying to access my sister-in-law's Shaw Cable email account
through Outlook XP. I keep receiving an error message that it cannot
get through to the POP3....I have been on the phone with tech support
at Shaw and they said to enter "shawmail.vc.shawcable.net"...and I am
still getting the same deal.

I am able to retreive and send email from another email server-so it's
not my connection....any suggestions????

Not all providers allow acces to their POP3 server if you are trying to
connect from a location that isn't directly on their network. Contact the
ISP of sister-in-law to verify this.
