I am getting an error message (missing LDAP directory server (81)), whenever
I start outlook, or whenever i create an new message and want to select
recipients. In fact if I look at the directory tree under personal folders, I
don't see the contacts directory, yet under the shorcut bar, I have a
contacts directory with all my contacts.

Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing directories or address
books>Next. Select the LDAP server service and click Remove.
