We have several different locations for our business and send letters created in Word quite often. I have Windows XP and another co worker is on XP 2003. When I recently emailed him a letter he said it opens in two panes although it is only one page - how can I correct this so he sees the letter the way it was created?

Hi,

Your friend must be viewing the document in "Reading Layout" view. Ask him
to goto View and select "normal" to read the letter in a single pane.

Regards,
Subbu

Or just click Close on the toolbar to close the reading layout. To turn it
off completely, use Tools | Options | General and clear the box for "Allow
starting in Reading layout."
