Please add a method to block domains in the spam filter in outlook2003. You
have dded blocking of national or top-level domains, but not individal
domains. I often get spam from different "people" at a given domain. I
suspect the spammers just manufacture individual user names when sending. It
is probably a little harder to manufacture domains.

Obviously you haven't tried it or entered "blocked senders" in the Help
search. Just put the domain itself in the Blocked Senders list.
Actions>Junk E-mail>Junk Email Options>Blocked Senders>Add. Type the
domain. Click OK. It even tells you the format you can use right on the
"Add address or domain" dialogue. Why do people find Help so hard to use?

This needs to be a right click option - when I'm clearing 500+ emails a day
out I don't want to have to enter each domain separately - so maybe a multi
selection then right click Add domains to blocked senders list.

I HAVE repeatedly added domain names to the blocked senders list,
only to find the filter doesn't work. Why do the same names show up
even after being added?

The address you see as the From address when examining a message really has
no bearing on the address the sender address. While the former may always
appear to be the same, the latter can be different on each copy of the
message you're trying to block. I haven't experimented much with the
blocked senders list (mine's empty) so I don't know if using Add Sender to
Blocked Senders List will add the From address or the real sender address.
If the latter, it's not surprising you see the behavior you do.

Hi Brian,
For some reason my outlook sends contacts whom I've emailed before and
who've emailed me before to my junk email box. I've got them in my safe
senders section and verified their addresses are not in my block senders
section. How & why could this be happening and is there any way to fix it?

Outlook version? Account type?

MS Outlook 2003, Vers. 11.8118 SP2, Running on Win XP
Not sure what you mean by account type. We're running outlook from a
business.

SMTP, I believe. What can I do?

Thank you. Now explain what you mean by "sends contacts whom I've emailed
before...my junk email box." Outlook can't move contacts. Those are in
your Contacts folder and are not mail. Outlook's Junk E-mail filter doesn't
operate on contacts.

Clients, Contacts, people that I know and that are on my safe list. People
who've emailed me before & I've emailed them before. Suddently, although
I've not changed my rules, instead of coming into my inbox, these known
contacts are going into junkmail, including my boss' email and he sits in the
same office. What could this be? What can I do?

Again, you don't receive contacts or send with Outlook. You receive and
send mail messages. Is this what you're talking about?

Ok Brian,
You're just being difficult now. You know exaclty what she means, emails
from known contacts are going into the junk folder. If you know the answer to
her query, you should help, otherwise you are just engaging in needless
harrasment.

You may be a mind reader and can figure out what people are thinking no
matter what words they use, but, alas, I'm not. Unless a person posts
ACCURATE information and says what he means, it's difficult to diagnose a
problem.
