I have pop3 my Yahoo account into outlook but my account folders do not show
up on the left hand side. I know it has gone through because I get a
confermation e-mail on my yahoo account.

POP does not give access to any folder but the Inbox. If you want access
to other folders, you'd need IMAP access.
