OUTLOOK2002 Rules Problems

Are there known problems with the RULES implemention (or any other O02
mechanism) that would cause emails from a known ID to be deleted without
being moved to the DELETED folder.

I have an otherwise robust client on XPSP2 but within the past few weeks
each and every email sent to me from a friend does not show up at the
desktop. I can see via the WEB Mail access at my ISP that the message does
arrive at the server sucessfully.

Any direction or suggestion would be appreciated.

There is a "permanently delete it" action that can be specified on a rule.
Do you have any rules?

You can enable logging on one of the Options pages so that you can see
what's going on while the message is being processed. Perhaps that can lead
to a clue.

Do you have any antispam or antivirus program integrated into Outlook? If
so, try truning that feature off to see if it makes a difference.
