Outoook 2002 FIND function doesn't stop when click stop, loop?

Hi,

I have Outlook 2002 10.4219.4219 Service Pack 2.

When I add the find toolbar buy clicking on "tools" and "find"
I then type in something in the "look for" box
I click "find now"
the search icon starts its moving around and around animation.

If I click stop, the search doesn't stop. You can leave the PC for 30
minutes and come back and it is still "searching". You have to click
the X to close the find toolbar.

I can't find anything about this on the web and have very demanding
user making my life stressfull. Would be greatfull for any help.
