I have a laptop with XP rpo And Office XP Pro, The
problem I have is Outlook is slow to open. Is there a fix.

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.

Found a patch/info in Microsoft's site about this while

I was searching for something else. They suggest
reinstalling Microsoft messenger to fix the "known"
problem.
