Over allocated resources are not being leveled

Hi,

First of all thanks for reading this...

I create a new project plan & for some reason, I can't get some over
allocated resource to be leveled.

Most of the task types are ASAP, only 2 SNET & 1 MSO tasks.

At first I thought the problem may be due to linking the schedule w/
resource shared pool. So I saved the schedule file with another name then
under Tools > Resource Sharing> Share Resource option, I specified to "use
own resources" option.

Many of the tasks don't have true task dependencies, therefore, the
predecessor fields are blank, therefore, I set the priority numbers for the
logical flow.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Thanks a bunch!!!
Lilly :)

Look's like this is not about resource sharing.

Follow the below steps
1. Change your view to Resource Allocation view (choose View | More
views ...) to identify the overallocated resources and their
assignments.
2. If you would like to delay the task, use the "Leveling Delay"
column in bottom Leveling Gantt chart
3. If you would like to delay the assignment of the overallocated
resource (without affecting the other assignments on the task), double
click the assignment under the resource (top view: Resource usage
view), and change the assignment start date.
4. If you are comfortable with using the feature of Resource leveling,
select Tools | Level Resources (visit http://www.mpug.com/News/Pages/080306c.aspx)

Watch! You have few tasks with constraints, and this may affect the
way the task is delayed.

Please let me know if this helps
