Over Time

Dee

Hello,

I am trying to create a view that would show which members of my team
worked over time i.e worked more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week.
Our resources are spread over more than one project and report time
(hrs spen on each task) via time sheets on a daily basis.

I would like to see overtime per resource not split by task.

Will appreciate any help / pointer to do this.

Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards,
Dee

This could be done using an assignment view or done in OLAP. I think
OLAP would be better, since you could show planned and actual work and
see the project(s) that contribute to the work. You would need to
extend OLAP to show week time periods.

Hi Mark,

First of all thanks for taking the time to reply.

I am not very clear as to what you mean by extend the OLAP to show week
time periods. Below are our settings

Default method of reporting - Hours of work done per day
We use Non Managers time periods
Resources report hours worked every day
MAx hours that can be entered - no limit.

Where can I set something that would move actual work mroe than 40 hrs
to an overtime column so that I can report resource working overtime.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Dee

Mark is right if weekly reporting is required, however the standard
cube will compare availability with actual time spent (using a
calculated field). If max units are set to 100%, any overspend
represents overtime. This can be shown on a daily or monthly basis.
Exporting to excel enables further manipulation.
