overburden rate

is the overburden rate of 10.00 added to the normal hourly rate in microsoft
project

Hi Rob,

The cost for the project is calculated by the standard rate for the
resource * the number of hours of work. No burden or overtime is
automatically calculated by Project.

Julie, thanks for getting back so soon. My instructor asked the students to
add resources to the project and assign the resources to the sub-task on the
project.

a. Anaslyst $50.00/hour + 15/hour overburden.

Do I charge a total of $65.00 per hour, or is there some other place I
should charge the $15/hour overburden rates.

The standard rate usually includes the base cost plus overburden. So in
your example set the resource's standard rate to $65/hr. IMHO the OT rate
should be the same $65/hr because even though he doesn't get an overtime
paycheck usually, just because he's working after 5pm doesn't mean he's
working for free.
