Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel frequently when working in Word for Mac 2008 sentences will overlap in a document. If I close and reopen it is usually fine. Any ideas how to avoid this issue?

Usually: Scroll back two or three screens full, then come forward again.

Usually, it's a lazy re-draw, and there's not much you can do about it: it's
a "limitation" that has been in Word for 20 years.

However, it's much worse if:

1) You have not fully updated Word

2) You leave Track Changes on without resolving them

3) You do not break a table within ten pages.

Hope this helps
